Apartment cleaning at Water's Edge, the canal side flats on Yas Bay
Water's Edge is an Aldar apartment community on the canal side of Yas Island, a short walk from Yas Bay, Etihad Arena and the waterfront restaurants. It is made up of low rise buildings arranged around a promenade with cafes, community pools and landscaped courtyards, with studios and one, two and three bedroom flats above covered parking. Each building has its own reception, and residents range from young professionals working at the airport and the Yas venues to families who wanted a smaller home on the island.
The flats are newer and simpler to clean than an old city apartment, but they have their own habits. The canal and the sandy ground around the buildings put a fine film on balcony glass, rails and window tracks, and open plan kitchens with light worktops show grease and marks quickly. A large share of the flats are furnished and rented for short stays, so many of our visits are turnarounds timed to a check out, with linen changed and the bathrooms finished to a hotel standard. Studios and one bedroom flats are quick visits, and the three bedroom units are planned with more time.
