Yas Acres is an Aldar villa and townhouse community wrapped around the Yas Acres Golf and Country Club on the eastern side of Yas Island, next to Noya and a few minutes from Yas Mall, Yas Marina Circuit and Yas Bay. It is built in phases with names like The Magnolias, The Dahlias and The Cedars, each one a gated cluster of streets with its own parks and paths to the fairways. The homes are large: townhouses and four, five and six bedroom villas with gardens, and some with private pools looking over the course.

A home like that is cleaned differently from a city flat. There is a majlis, a family room, an open plan kitchen, a maid's room, several bathrooms and a garden that opens straight onto the ground floor through wide sliding doors. Sand from the fairways and the still developing land around the community settles on window tracks, terrace tiles and outdoor furniture, and the tall glass facing the course needs time on every visit.
